Tips for applying Aussie Mineral Makeup
Imagine if you could get that flawless natural makeup look that lasts all day simply by using pure Aussie minerals!! And imagine that they were not only sitting on your skin looking good, but were actually doing your skin a favour!!
Well guess what? NOW YOU CAN. Using techniques that are so easy, in fact even easy enough for the beginner, and products that go on so easy, you can have that professional , flawless, natural look without the heavy ‘caked’ on feeling. In just a few quick, simple steps your dreams can turn into reality and we’ll show you how.
Firstly the most important thing is to make sure that your moisturiser has absorbed before applying the minerals.
Foundation
Always apply mineral foundation in thin layers. Our Jumbo Buff brush is perfect as it holds the powder well, is very gentle on the skin, and helps you get a flawless coverage.
With the lid on turn the foundation jar over, tap the bottom with your finger then turn right side up and open. Tap a small amount of foundation into the lid. Holding the lid in the palm of one hand and the brush in the other swirl your brush in the foundation and tap the excess back into lid. Apply in short, feathery downward strokes or light circles starting from the centre of your face and working towards the hair line. Apply twice all over face; this is usually sufficient, however keep applying until you get the coverage you want. If you want a heavier coverage you can also use a damp sponge or apply with a damp buff brush. The easiest way to dampen the buff brush is to spray it lightly with water or rose water.
- No need for a separate concealer. With your foundation brush just pick up a little foundation, tap off the excess, and blend foundation onto the required area.
- If you would like a liquid foundation simply mix a little of the powder into your favourite moisturiser.
- For dry skin you can spray a little rose water onto your face and use a brush or sponge to lightly smooth your makeup in a downward direction.
Blush
Use a blush brush to take a small amount of mineral blush colour from the lid and tap off the excess. Starting from the apple of your cheek use short feathery strokes towards your hairline. Remember to apply sparingly as it is easier to reapply than it is to remove. Blending is the secret to a professional look.
Be creative and use your blush on nails and lips as well.
Eye Shadow
Place your eye shadow brush into your choice of colour and press it in. Tap of the excess and apply to eyelid by patting on.
You can have the look you want!!
